"Becoming Chinese" has taken the internet by storm, with the Spring Festival, or the Chinese New Year, potentially serving as a key gateway for global netizens to explore Chinese culture amid this trend. CGTN conducted a public opinion survey for global netizens, releasing the survey across its English, Spanish, French, Arabic and Russian platforms. Within 24 hours, a total of 5,154 overseas netizens participated in the poll and shared their views. The main findings are as follows:

A total of 95.1 percent of respondents are interested in the Chinese Spring Festival.

About 95 percent of the respondents believe that the successful inscription of the Spring Festival on the UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity indicates that Chinese culture is increasingly being embraced and appreciated worldwide.

Around 91.7 percent of the respondents agree that the spirits of unity, fraternity, peace, harmony and concord embedded in the Chinese Spring Festival align closely with the core values of human civilization.

Approximately 86.7 percent of the respondents look forward to celebrating the Spring Festival in China.

Roughly 92.1 percent of the respondents think the integration of China's profound and time-honored traditional culture with trendy modern elements offers a relatable and engaging cultural experience.

About 80.8 percent of the respondents believe that global netizens embracing Chinese lifestyles represents a shift from one-way cultural export to a mutual exchange and cultural resonance.

Nearly 78.7 percent of the respondents consider the Spring Festival an important window into Chinese culture and lifestyle.

Some 76.3 percent of the respondents think the "Becoming Chinese" trend reflects China's openness not only in terms of the market and policy but also in the blending of lifestyles and cultural concepts.

Air ticket bookings by foreign tourists to China for the Spring Festival holiday have increased several times year on year. Meanwhile, 88.2 percent of the respondents think that the global influence of Chinese culture has further energized the consumer market.
