From Chinese schools and Confucius Institutes to restaurants, Chinese culture is steadily taking root in Austria. Harvey Dzodin from Vienna, Senior Fellow at the Center for China and Globalization, says that as China rises globally, more Europeans are beginning to understand symbols like the zodiac and what they represent. In an increasingly globalized world, Chinese culture is no longer seen as the exotic "other" but as part of a shared global trend.
