After a fresh snowfall, Kalajun Grassland in Tekes County, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, awoke to a rare spectacle: dawn mist bathed in golden-orange light. Thick fog met the rising sun and morning glow, draping the snow-covered landscape in soft amber. Villages emerged quietly from the mist, like scenes from a winter fairy tale. With temperatures at minus 13 degrees Celsius and a snow depth of 22 centimeters, a temperature inversion trapped mist over the grassland and river valleys at sunrise, weaving morning light into a dreamlike display of winter serenity and romance.
