Long March-10, Mengzhou succeed in critical escape and recovery test

China completed a low-altitude verification of the Long March-10 carrier rocket and a maximum dynamic pressure escape flight test of the Mengzhou spacecraft.

About 45 seconds after liftoff, the spacecraft escaped successfully. The rocket then turned around for recovery, with its first stage splashing down in the designated sea area after roughly 470 seconds. This marks a key breakthrough in China's manned lunar project.
