Themed exhibitions and immersive experiences are bringing together the passion of winter sports and the warmth of Chinese New Year traditions in Beijing, as the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics approaches China's most important traditional festival.

Titled "From Beijing to Milan, Together for a Shared Future," the event is being held at the Beijing Olympic Museum, the National Stadium (Bird's Nest), and selected public spaces in the Olympic Central Area. It will run through February 22.

Visitors can explore the enduring Olympic spirit and its cultural heritage through dynamic, multi-sensory displays. Interactive sports experiences, such as simulated alpine skiing and curling games, allow visitors to get hands-on with athletic challenges, while Winter Olympic broadcasts and sports film screenings further amplify the excitement.

As part of the Spring Festival celebrations, an exhibition of Chinese New Year prints from across the country showcases the diversity and vitality of festive traditions in different regions.

The temple fair, an indispensable element of Chinese New Year, features an international marketplace where visitors can shop for products from different continents, adding a global touch to the traditional festive setting.

A diverse lineup of activities further energizes the holiday atmosphere. Hands-on intangible cultural heritage workshops incorporating Olympic and Chinese New Year elements, traditional folk sports performances, and a virtual reality experience set against the backdrop of humanity's first-ever Interstellar Games in the year 2128, all add to the festive spirit.
