A man has been hospitalized after being shot in both legs in a drive-by attack in western Sydney on Wednesday night.

A statement released by the police force in the state of New South Wales (NSW) on Thursday said that emergency services were called to reports of the shooting in Guildford, 20 kilometers west of central Sydney, at around 11 p.m. on Wednesday.

Officers arrived at the scene and found that a 26-year-old man had been struck in the right calf and left foot by shots fired from a dark-colored vehicle, which subsequently left the scene.
