A range of advanced technologies have been deployed to support railway operations during this year's Spring Festival travel rush. At the Zhanjiang North EMU (Electric Multiple Unit) Depot, a key maintenance facility for the Guangzhou-Zhanjiang High-Speed Railway, a hollow axle inspection robot diagnoses high-speed trains for potential faults. The robot is equipped with a seven-axis robotic arm, a high-precision 3D camera and an ultrasonic testing system, enabling it to accurately detect millimeter-level hairline cracks. After completing flaw detection, the robot can automatically generate inspection records and results. One single operator can remotely monitor the operation of multiple machines.
