Jiang Tiehong: The horseman's 40 years of 'galloping'

Zhao Junzhu

In 2024, Jiang Tiehong led his students in the Mongolian dance Benteng, meaning "horse galloping." The video soon went viral.

For Jiang, Benteng is not just performance.  As a student, a performer, a teacher, Jiang has spent four decades inside this dance. Today, when his students see him still moving beside them – still galloping – they understand what it means to be unstoppable. A horse doesn't look back. It runs – faster, harder, through wind and rain.
