In an interview with CGTN Sports Scene's Zhu Mandan at the Italy House, Paris 2024 iQ Foil windsurfer champion Marta Maggetti shared her perspective on the athlete mothers competing at the Olympics.

Francesca Lollobrigida won the women's speed skating 5,000-meter gold medal at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, clinching here second gold at the Games. At 35, she remains competitive and as a mother of a two-year-old boy.

"I think it's really amazing, she's a mama," Maggetti said. "And yeah, for sure it's super strong for a woman to chase these two golds. And yeah, I don't know, I think I'm doing really amazing. The women that do like this, it's something really strong, I think for everyone because to match the sport, the family, and it's really hard. In my sport, there are a lot of mamas ... they start again and I think it's really nice. I hope I will do also like this."
