British actress Katie Hutton, a cast member of the West End musical "Singin' in the Rain," shared how she blended into life in Chengdu, the capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province. Using RedNote, a social media platform, to discover spots popular with residents and adding shop owners on WeChat, a widely used messaging and social app, to ask about items and stay in touch made her feel connected to the city. "That way, I'm not living in China as a tourist – I'm actually living in China as someone from Chengdu, which is so cool," she said.
