Olympic Houses offer fun, food, culture on sidelines of 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Games

Among the most popular extras at any edition of the Summer or Winter Games are the houses set up by various National Olympic Committees.

The venues, which provide opportunities to learn more about the participating countries, often have current and former athletes drop by, while also offering a bit of fun, food and culture for visitors.

CGTN Sports Scene's Greg Laffradi checked out a few Olympic Houses in Milan, even getting to test some of his winter sports skills.

At the Brazil House, visitors can simulate curling on a rooftop table to discern their abilities in the discipline. An Alpine skiing simulator, boasting realistic and challenging settings, has also drawn a lot of attention.

The Slovakia House features a test of ice hockey puck-handling skills, while also offering spaces for fans to pose for pictures.

As for the host nation, the Italy House showcases multiple exhibitions displaying its heritage leading up to Milano Cortina 2026. One prominent section includes racing gear worn by Alpine skier Federica Brignone, spotlighting the achievements of the women's super giant slalom winner.

The Italy House also offers wide range of the host country's culture, raging from arts to fashion to sports.
