China's Jiaolong manned submersible completed its 419th dive on New Year's Eve, reaching a depth of over 4,000 meters. It was a regular joint operation with an unmanned submersible, marking the "one ship, two submersibles" model's transition to the operational stage. The system will now survey hydrothermal areas and conduct research in marine geology, chemistry, biology and physics.
