What began as a simple greeting on RedNote in January 2025 soon grew into something far more meaningful. It brought two families – one from China and one from the United States – across oceans and into each other's arms in China.

From the festive atmosphere of Shanghai Disneyland to the vibrant temple fairs of Beijing, American blogger Brecken Neumann and his family experienced the magic of "becoming Chinese" firsthand, using mobile payments, encountering delivery robots, and discovering the warmth of holiday traditions. It was a firsthand glimpse into the joy of cultural connection.

Meanwhile, the Shanghai couple Chu Rongrong and Shan Li welcomed their distant guests with the warmth and thoughtfulness of a Chinese family, making them feel right at home. The children sang nursery rhymes together and shared candy in the sweetest act of "candy diplomacy," while the adults promised to "always be a harbor for one another."
