Kunshan, east China's Jiangsu Province, is known as "Little Taipei" because more than 100,000 Taiwan compatriots live there. A parade highlighting the Mazu culture was held in the city to mark the Chinese New Year. As one of the most active regions on the Chinese mainland with business, economic and cultural ties with China's Taiwan region, many activities themed on the Mazu culture are held in Kunshan every year.
