A group of young American pickleball players recently arrived in southern China for a journey that goes far beyond the court. Amid the flower markets and festive performances, we followed these "student ambassadors" as they put a new spin on cultural exchange. From learning the art of dumpling-making to marveling at the vibrant costumes and acrobatic performances, their trip is shaping up to be a lesson in connection. It is all part of a larger promise to bring 50,000 young Americans to China – and for this team, it is just the beginning.
