European delegations were not allowed to participate in the latest round of talks on the Ukraine crisis in Geneva, according to the Russian news agency RIA Novosti on Wednesday.

The report said European representatives were barred from the discussions and remained at a hotel.

The British delegation was seeking to learn the outcome of the meeting, it said, noting that representatives from Germany, France and Italy were also closely following the talks.

According to Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, the negotiations were difficult and challenging.

No documents were signed during the talks, RIA Novosti said.
