Many young people abroad are now saying they're in a "very Chinese time" in their life, drinking hot water, making their own congee and practicing mindfulness with Baduanjin. So with Spring Festival in full swing, what are celebrations like outside of China?

CGTN stringer Edgar Costa stepped into New York City's Chinatown to witness the lively celebrations of the Year of Horse. The streets echoed with the rhythmic beats of drums, brimming with a festive atmosphere for the Spring Festival. He interviewed locals from various professions and backgrounds, including businessmen, salespeople and nurses, listening to what they had to say about why they're marking the Spring Festival. "Horses are strong and fast and beautiful and elegant and graceful, so I think that's a fantastic time to be here," Connor Bolton said. Angelica Vargas was filled with anticipation for the future, inspired by the "strength and empowerment" symbolized by the Year of the Horse.
