In many older residential communities across central China's Henan Province, aging elevators have become more than an inconvenience. They can be a real safety concern and a daily headache, especially for residents with mobility issues, seniors, parents with strollers and anyone carrying groceries upstairs.

This year, with the national subsidy policy for replacing old elevators for further improved ones, Henan is moving faster to turn that support into real upgrades on the ground. The province plans to renew more than 2,000 old residential elevators over the course of the year.

A new elevator is not just new equipment. It is a stronger sense of safety, smoother daily travel and a more comfortable life right at your doorstep. In Henan, the goal is simple: let every ride feel secure, reliable and easy. (Photos via VCG)
