Xu Mengtao, Wang Xindi and Li Tianma earned bronze in the mixed team aerials freestyle skiing competition with 279.68 points on Saturday, claiming China's 13th podium finish at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics.

The USA grabbed gold after compiling 325.35, followed by Switzerland with 296.91 points to snap up silver.

Seven squads competed in Final 1, with the top-four sides advancing to Final 2.

Xu, who won the women's aerials title on Wednesday, started for China and scored 81.99 points after completing a back full-full-full with a difficulty rating of 4.293.

Her husband, men's aerials champion Wang, was the second skier in the Chinese team's lineup, finishing with 116.29 points.

Li, the men's aerials bronze medalist, rounded out the order and earned 116.74, leaving China ranked second among the four squads qualifying for Final 2 with 315.02, trailing only the USA's 351.23 points.

The other two sides booking spots in Final 2 were Australia and Switzerland.

In Final 2, Xu opened with a remarkable 96.59 points, staking the Chinese team to the lead after the first run, with the Americans 2.15 behind in second place.

China's second skier, Wang, endured a rough landing, but still tallied 87.72 points due to his excellent rotations in the air.

The USA's second competitor, Connor Curran, picked up 113.72, springing his squad into the lead with 208.16 points.

Li, who was once again third onto the course for China, landed badly as well, breaking both of his skis and scoring 95.37 points. The three-member side finished with 279.68, earning the country's sixth bronze and 13th overall medal at this edition of the Games.

Christopher Lillis sealed the title for the USA with 117.19 points, while Switzerland snatched runner-up honors.
