Questions remain in Gaza after inaugural 'Board of Peace' meeting

Washington convened the inaugural meeting of the "Board of Peace" on Thursday, aimed at overseeing the Gaza ceasefire and coordinating reconstruction efforts. Nine countries pledged more than $7 billion in relief funding, and U.S. President Donald Trump announced an additional $10 billion American contribution. But residents in Gaza remain skeptical. Many say they are waiting for concrete actions, not more high-level meetings that leave their daily hardships unchanged.
