Airlines ramps up capacity for Xinjiang's post-holiday travel rush

As the Spring Festival holiday draws to a close, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region has seen its peak return travel season. In response, China Southern Airlines has increased flight capacity to over 230 daily departures in the region, deploying wide-body aircraft on popular routes like Beijing and Guangzhou. Ticket bookings on routes such as Sanya, Kunming and Altay to Urumqi have exceeded 90 percent, while international routes maintain over 80 percent booking rates. To manage the rush, the airline has strengthened on-site guidance, streamlined baggage procedures, and offered services for the elderly and children. Passengers are advised to allow extra time and plan ahead for a smooth journey.
