Lisu people in Longchuan County, southwest China’s Yunnan Province, celebrated their Kuoshi Festival on February 21. Marking the community’s traditional New Year, the festival features daring feats such as climbing knife poles, walking on fire and stepping on broken glass, alongside vibrant songs, dances and traditional attire. The event showcases Lisu cultural heritage, bravery and resilience, while also promoting community unity and cultural exchange.
