We Talk: U.S. citizens say Epstein case exposes how politics is tearing the nation apart

Global Stringer

Recently, documents related to the Epstein case released by the U.S. Department of Justice have sent shockwaves through global political and business circles. The contents of these documents involve numerous well-known figures from the political, business, academic and entertainment sectors in the United States and other countries, sparking widespread discussion about power networks, judicial fairness and elite privilege.

CGTN stringer discussed the case with New York residents. Patrick Linen, an IT worker, said U.S. politics is tearing the people and the nation apart. He believes it is all coming down to politics and that people are no longer focused on helping others. Meanwhile, barista Lina Baker said Congress and the government need to actually do something about it instead of protecting pedophiles.
