U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced it will cease collecting a set of tariffs previously imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA), following a U.S. Supreme Court ruling that declared the levies unlawful.

The agency stated the tariffs would be discontinued starting at 12:01 a.m. EST on Tuesday. CBP informed shippers via its Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) that all tariff codes related to President Donald Trump's executive orders issued under IEEPA authority will be deactivated from that time.

This follows the Supreme Court's decision, which found the specific tariff impositions to be unlawful. The tariffs had been imposed under the Trump administration citing national emergency powers granted by IEEPA.
