The escalation of tensions in the Middle East serves no one's interests, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said in Beijing on Tuesday.
Mao made the remarks at a press briefing in response to a media query on the U.S.-Iran situation.
"China is closely following the relevant developments and hopes that all parties will exercise restraint and resolve differences through dialogue. The escalation of tensions in the Middle East serves no one's interests," Mao said.
