Chinese President Xi Jinping met with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz on Wednesday at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing. Merz is on an official visit to China from February 25 to 26. Xi said that as the world becomes more turbulent and intertwined, China and Germany should strengthen strategic communication and deepen mutual trust. He stressed that the stability and vitality of China-Germany relations can help advance China-Europe cooperation and also contribute to greater harmony in a changing world.
