World No. 1 Wang Chuqin of China cruised past 19th-ranked Shunsuke Togami of Japan 11-9, 11-8, 11-5 in the men's singles second round at the WTT (World Table Tennis) Singapore Smash on Tuesday, advancing to the last 16.

Wang's next opponent will be 16th-seeded Anders Lind of Denmark.

In other matches, China's Lin Shidong beat Kazakhstan's Kirill Gerassimenko 11-6, 11-8, 11-1. The third seed will face wild card paddler Lim Jong-hoon from the ROK in the next round.

China's Zhou Qihao was knocked out by France's Flavien Coton 12-14, 11-6, 11-3, 11-7. The Frenchman will meet sixth-seeded compatriot Felix Lebrun next.

In men's doubles action, Lin and Huang Youzheng battled back to drop Singapore's Clarence Chew and Josh Chua 7-11, 11-7, 11-9, 11-3 to reach the quarterfinals. The Chinese duo's next opponents will be German eighth seeds Benedikt Duda and Dang Qiu.

In the women's singles bracket, China's third-seeded Chen Xingtong brushed aside Australia's Connie Psihogios 11-8, 11-8, 11-7. She will go up against Japan's 16th-seeded Miyu Nagasaki next.

China's Chen Yi also continued to win after getting past home wild card Ser Lin Qian 11-8, 13-11, 11-7. The eighth seed will clash with Japan's: Honoka Hashimoto.in the last 16.

Second-seeded Wang Manyu outlasted Chinese Taipei's Cheng I-Ching 11-9, 9-11, 11-4, 11-5 to seal a place in the round of 16. Her next challenge is 13th seed Shin Yu-bin from the ROK.

In the women's doubles draw, Chen joined forces with Kuai Man to eliminate Austria's Sofia Polcanova and Brazil's Bruna Takahashi 7-11, 11-6, 11-5, 11-4. They will try to upset the Republic of Korea's top seeds Kim Na-yeong and Ryu Han-na next.
