Tulou culture came alive in southeast China's Fujian Province during the nine-day Chinese New Year holiday, attracting more than 300,000 visitors. In Yongding District of Longyan, locals staged immersive performances and festive activities, offering visitors a closer look at the traditions of the Hakka people. The iconic tulou–massive, wall-enclosed earthen buildings that serve as both communal homes and defensive fortresses–became the vibrant backdrop for celebrating heritage and welcoming the new year.
