U.S. President Donald Trump said on Saturday that Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in U.S.-Israeli attacks earlier in the day.

Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said earlier that the country's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and President Masoud Pezeshkian are both "safe and sound."

Iran has launched multiple waves of missile attacks targeting U.S. military bases across the Middle East, including those in Kuwait, the UAE, Qatar and Bahrain.
