China has consistently been the most stable, reliable and positive force in a turbulent world, Liu Jieyi, spokesperson for the fourth session of the 14th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, said on Tuesday at the press conference.

Liu noted that the world today is experiencing a century of accelerated change. Turmoil and transformation are dominating the international situation, while global challenges grown more prominent. China has been putting its words into action. It upholds the banner of building a community with a shared future for mankind while advancing the implementation of the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, the Global Civilization Initiative and the Global Governance Initiative. China has promoted high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, advocated for an equal and orderly multipolar world and inclusive economic globalization. It strived to build a world characterized by enduring peace, universal security, shared prosperity, openness and inclusivity, as well as environmental cleanliness and beauty.

China remains committed to pursuing high-quality development and expanding high-level opening up, said Liu. While developing the country itself, China is also benefiting the world, and has consistently been the most stable, reliable and positive force in a turbulent globe. 

Extensive engagement in foreign relations has been an important task for the CPPCC, Liu noted. Over the past year, under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy, the CPPCC has coordinated the advancement of public diplomacy, people-to-people diplomacy and think-tank diplomacy, making positive contributions to China's broader foreign policy.
