China's athletes closed out the final day of the season-opening World Aquatics Diving World Cup in Montreal, Canada, on Monday, with three gold medals, wrapping up the competition by winning all nine titles.
Wang Zongyuan topped the podium in the men's 3-meter springboard after completing the final with 540.35 points. He took the lead after scoring 91.80 points on his first dive before further extending his advantage. Although his performances in the fourth and fifth rounds were slightly flawed, the 24-year-old kept victory within his grasp after tallying 98.80 on his final attempt.
His compatriot Zheng Jiuyuan took silver with 495.15 points. Luis Felipe Uribe Bermudez of Colombia ended up with bronze.
In the men's 10-meter synchronized platform final, Zhao Renjie and Yang Zhihao claimed the championship with 469.23 points, leading from their first effort all the way through the final round.
Mexican duo Kevin Berlin Reyes and Randal Willars Valdez came in as runners-up. British pair Ben Cutmore and Euan McCabe placed third.
On the women's side, Jiang Linjing grabbed gold in the 10-meter platform final with 428.10 points. Her Chinese compatriot Cui Jiaxi snagged silver with 370.40. The bronze went to Jo Jin Mi of the DPRK.
