US President Donald Trump ​told NewsNation that "you'll ‌find out soon what the retaliation will be" ‌in ‌response to an ‌attack on the ‌US embassy in Riyadh and over the deaths of ‌six US military personnel during the Iran conflict, a reporter ‌at the media ​outlet posted on X on Monday, citing an interview with him.

The US embassy in Riyadh was hit by two drones ​resulting in ​a limited ‌fire and some ‌material damage, the kingdom's defense ministry said in a post on X on Tuesday, citing an initial assessment.

The State Department told The Wall Street Journal the embassy "has been struck by two UAVs [Unmanned Aerial Vehicles] that hit the roof and the perimeter of the chancery."

It all comes as the US has urged all Americans to leave 15 countries across the Middle East ahead of a planned "major uptick" in strikes on Iran, targeting the country's missile production, drones and naval capabilities.
