In 2025, the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) received 5,992 proposals, registered 5,061 and achieved a handling rate of 99.9%, said Wang Huning, chairman of the 14th CPPCC National Committee, at the opening meeting of the fourth session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee on Wednesday.

Wang said the CPPCC National Committee held 98 consultative and deliberative events in 2025. A total of 75,648 submissions were received, of which 17,223 were adopted.

Policy proposals and advisory messages received feedback and instructions from officials on 1,057 occasions, and 201 feedback reports were submitted by local governments and governmental bodies, Wang reported.

Members of the CPPCC National Committee carried out 6,778 activities to serve the people, along with 11,115 outreach activities engaging people from relevant sectors. These efforts benefited more than 4 million people, said Wang.
