In 2025, the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) received 5,992 proposals, registered 5,061 and achieved a handling rate of 99.9%, said Wang Huning, chairman of the 14th CPPCC National Committee, at the opening meeting of the fourth session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee on Wednesday.

Wang said the CPPCC National Committee held 98 consultative and deliberative events in 2025. A total of 75,648 submissions were received, of which 17,223 were adopted.
