During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025), China vigorously promoted the development of quantum science and technology, said Pan Jianwei, a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), vice chairman of Jiu San Society, and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Quantum communication has maintained its international leading position, while quantum computing remains among the global top tier, Pan said, adding that multiple fields of quantum precision measurement have advanced into the world's leading ranks.
He also said that during the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030), China will continue to strengthen original innovation, promote deep integration of industry, academia and research, accelerate the transformation of research results, and better leverage quantum technology to foster new quality productive forces and empower high-quality economic and social development.
