A total lunar eclipse lit up the sky above the Ulan Hada volcano group in Ulanqab, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on the evening of March 3, coinciding with the Lantern Festival.

A deep red "blood moon" rose beside the volcanic craters, reaching its darkest shade at totality. The eclipse lasted nearly 177 minutes, drawing visitors to the volcanoes to witness this rare celestial spectacle.
