In an interview with CGTN's Li Jingjing, geopolitical analyst Dr. David Oualaalou, a former US intelligence advisor and veteran, argues that the US-Israel attacks on Iran are part of a bigger game: Containing China's development and cutting off its access to energy.

He also warns that the war can serve as a distraction from US domestic failures—economic struggles, unaffordable healthcare, broken education and rising taxes. Meanwhile, US taxpayers continue to finance overseas commitments, including support for Israel.

"This is not our war," he says. "But it is the American people who end up paying the price.”
