China will promote the R&D and application of appropriate, advanced agricultural machinery and equipment, and see that agricultural technologies reach the fields and farmers, according to the government work report submitted on Thursday to the country's top legislature for deliberation.

All localities must shoulder their share of responsibility and make concerted efforts to ensure the security of China's food supply.
