China will strengthen Party conduct and integrity building and advance the fight against corruption, while intensifying efforts to address formalism to ease burdens on primary-level units, according to a government work report submitted on Thursday to the country's top legislature for deliberation.
Efforts will be made to further advance the building of a law-based government and consciously accept oversight in accordance with the law, said the report.
Proposals and suggestions from deputies to the National People's Congress, as well as proposals from members of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, will be handled with care, it added.
Comprehensive inspections will be carried out to promote high-quality development. Efforts will also be made to strengthen grassroots governance in both urban and rural areas, improve services and management for people in new forms of employment, and enhance the law-based handling of public complaints and petitions, according to the report.
