China will advance self-initiated opening up and unilateral opening up in an orderly manner, and steadily expand unilateral visa-free policies and comprehensive mutual visa exemptions, according to a government work report submitted Thursday to the country's top legislature for deliberation.
Efforts to stabilize foreign trade were strengthened, with imports and exports maintaining stable volume and improving quality, the report said, adding that the exports grew by 6.1%.
An action plan to stabilize foreign investment was introduced, and the number of newly established foreign-invested enterprises increased by 19.1%, according to the report.
Solid progress was made in promoting high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, with practical cooperation across various sectors continuing to deepen, it added.
