Chinese Premier Li Qiang said cultural programs and industries were boosted over the past year while delivering the government work report at the fourth session of the 14th National People's Congress on Thursday.

Li noted that on the tourism market last year, domestic tourist trips increased by 16.2%, and inbound tourist trips by 17.1%, illustrating the vitality of the tourism sector.

In terms of sports, China successfully hosted the 9th Asian Winter Games and the 15th National Games of the People's Republic of China in 2025, Li noted, adding that China witnessed a strong surge in recreational sports events and public fitness activities.
