China has focused on tackling core underlying technologies in the field of blockchain, making breakthroughs that have materialized a trusted digital infrastructure with a "Chinese core," said Dong Jin, director of the Beijing Academy of Blockchain and Edge Computing, on Thursday.

Dong, a deputy to the 14th National People's Congress (NPC), made the remarks at the Deputies' Corridor ahead of the opening meeting of the fourth session at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
