A traditional celebration named Paolong Festival was held last Friday in Binyang County, Nanning, capital of south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. As performers danced with handmade dragons, residents and tourists poured into the streets, set off firecrackers and exchanged joyful greetings. The sounds of firecrackers and drums filled the air, creating a festive atmosphere.

As a region-specific activity, the Binyang Paolong Festival was inscribed on the list of national intangible cultural heritage in 2008. It has also seen as a testament cultural integration between the Han group and the Zhuang ethnic groups.
