The output value of China's artificial intelligence (AI) sector reached 1.2 trillion yuan ($165.78 billion) in 2025, with more than 6,200 companies operating in the field, Minister of Industry and Information Technology Li Lecheng said on Thursday.

AI is deeply integrated in numerous Chinese industries. Over 30% of manufacturing firms have implemented AI applications, Li said when meeting the press and taking questions at the Ministers' Corridor.
