The Israeli army on Friday continued its strikes on targets in Lebanon's Beirut and Iran's Tehran and Isfahan, while Iran's armed forces said they attacked US and Israeli targets across the region.

The escalating crisis in the Middle East has become "a major humanitarian emergency," a senior official of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees said at a regular press briefing on Friday.
