China's Long March 8A (CZ-8A) Y8 rocket has been vertically transported to its launchpad at the Hainan Commercial Space Launch Site on Saturday, China Media Group reports.

The transported rocket is an advanced version that was debuted in early 2025. It features a larger 5.2-meter fairing and an upgraded second stage, pushing its Sun-Synchronous Orbit (SSO) capacity from 5 tonnes to 7 tonnes.

The CZ-8A variant entered a high-density launch rhythm immediately following its maiden flight, having already successfully executed seven missions to date.

Currently serving as the primary vehicle for China's orbital infrastructure, the CZ-8 series is slated for approximately 15 launches planned in 2026.
