Newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to the UAE Zeng Jixin arrived in the country on Saturday, and immediately proceeded to Dubai International Airport (DXB) to see off fellow citizens returning home on the first additional relief flight. China's Consul General in Dubai Ou Boqian also attended the event.

At the scene, Ambassador Zeng stated that the motherland is deeply concerned about the safety of overseas compatriots. Over the past few days, various Chinese government departments and overseas diplomatic missions have been working tirelessly to coordinate domestic and international flights to assist stranded Chinese travelers in returning home, while providing necessary support during their stay abroad. The Chinese government continues to coordinate urgently to dispatch more flights to orderly repatriate Chinese citizens stranded across Middle Eastern countries.

Speaking briefly at the security checkpoint, Ambassador Zeng said: "Please rest assured, dear compatriots – the Motherland will always be your strongest backbone, and our Embassies and Consulates will always be your harbor of reliance."
