Chinese Olympic gold medalist snowboarder Su Yiming came back to train on snow for the first time since the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics at Genting Snow Park in Zhangjiakou, north China's Hebei Province.
The 22-year-old didn't try many difficult tricks in the session of which the main purpose was for him to recover form.
"I looked forward to coming back to snow," Su told China Media Group (CMG). "I want to maintain my form when my body is in the best condition so I can continue to perform well in the rest of the season."
Though Su was not pushing himself too much in his first practice since the 2026 Winter Games, he tried some new grabs and may implement them if he feels good enough to compete at the World Cup later this month.
Su made his country proud at Milano Cortina 2026 by earning its first medal in the men's big air event and then securing its first gold in the men's slopestyle final. It has been some two weeks since Su trained on snow and he said it feels like coming back home.
