Kenneth Fok, a deputy to the National People's Congress, has proposed that the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region host a sub-venue for the 2027 China Media Group Spring Festival Gala, which coincides with the 30th anniversary of its return to China. In an interview with CGTN anchor Hou Na, Fok said these kinds of events can foster a stronger sense of national identity among the city's younger generation.
