China continued its impressive run at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Paralympics by claiming four golds and two silvers on Sunday, highlighting the second full day of action with standout success in the para biathlon competitions.

All of the day's events were long-distance races, with athletes skiing a total of 12.5 kilometers and completing four shooting sessions of five attempts, with each miss resulting in a one-minute penalty. In the men's individual sitting competition, Liu Zixu hit all of his targets to earn gold in 34 minutes, 38.1 seconds. Chinese compatriot Mao Zhongwu snagged silver with just one miss and Ukraine's Taras Rad bagged bronze.

The men's individual standing final saw Cai Jiayun maintain his good form. The 25-year-old became the first Chinese athlete to clinch two gold medals at this edition of the Games, after triumphing in 30 minutes, 24.1 seconds.

Meanwhile, Wang Yue finished first in the women's individual visually impaired biathlon event, grabbing her second gold at this year's Winter Paralympics. The previous day saw Wang and her course guide Chen Guoming claim the title in the sprint competition. The Chinese pair kept their momentum going in Sunday's race, crossing the line first in 34 minutes, 57.9 seconds, to garner another gold.

In the men's individual visually impaired biathlon, China's Dang Hesong and his guide Lu Hongda topped the podium in 31 minutes, 31.9 seconds.

And China's Zhao Zhiqing came away with silver in the women's individual standing category.
